Basic information about Basic information about IELTS-

IELTS full form is the International English Language Testing System.IELTS is the most popular English language test. Which is conduct by the British Council, Australia and Cambridge ESOL.IELTS exam is mainly used for those students who want to higher study abroad especially where the main communication language is English. Major universities of abroad do not give admission without passing the IELTS exam. If you want to work abroad then it's also useful.

Types of IELTS Exam

IELTS conduct exam 2 types-

a) IELTS Academic Test
b) IELTS General Test

a) IELTS Academic Test:

IELTS Academic test is for those students who want to higher study in abroad country where English is the main communication language.

b) IELTS General Training Test:

This test is conducted for those students who want to go for secondary education, training programs or work experience in an English speaking country.

Eligibility Criteria:

1.) The minimum age of the candidate should be 16 years for giving IELTS exam.
2.) Candidate must have a valid passport.

The registration process of IELTS

IELTS provides two types of registration facility online and offline process.
In the online process, Candidates can be registered through the IELTS portal.
                                                            or
In an offline mode of registration, the candidate can be registered by nearest idp centre.
Students can choose the examination city and exam time as per their choice.

Exam date and Fees:

This test is conducted 48 days a year and 4 days per month.

IELTS exam fees differ in each country but in India IELTS exam registration fees is 14000.

The scorecard of the IELTS test is valid for 2 year

IELTS Exam Pattern

In IELTS Exam pattern has 4 Sections.
a) Listening: Test Duration 30 minutes for this section.
b) Reading: Test Duration 60 minutes for this section.
c) Writing: Test Duration 60 minutes for this section.
d) Speaking: Test Duration 15 minutes for this section.
The total time of the IELTS exam duration is 2 hours and 45 minutes.
